By accessing this website and/or making an account, you agree to these community guidelines. If you do not agree with these guidelines, please do not use this website.

Account holders

To access materials and use the discussion forum you must create an account. Account holders must 

• Be thirteen years of age or older
• Be a member, friend, volunteer, staff, or minister of a congregation or community that is subscribed to the Meaning Making Project

Use of site

This website is intended to provide subscriber materials and foster a learning community through sharing information (posting) and hosting community discussions (commenting) in the discussion forum.

• You agree to use the site only for the intended purpose.
• You agree to write and speak in ways that demonstrate respect for the inherent worth and dignity of each person.
• You agree to pay attention to relative privilege, using the Canadian Unitarian Council’s Responsibility Covenant as a guide: https://cuc.ca/introducing-the-responsibility-covenant/. 
• You agree to respect differences in identity, generation and region and to keep potential differences in mind when writing your post, refraining from posting content that would be inappropriate for minors.
  

Account holders’ responsibilities

Commenting and posting

Most of the content on the site is generated by the Meaning Making Project. Users (account holders) may also provide content through posting and commenting. Account holders are responsible for the content that they submit. 

By submitting content you confirm:

• That you own the content or have permission to share it;
• That you grant non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content on this site;
• That your content may be moderated, edited or removed at our discretion.

Don’t do these things!

In case it isn’t obvious, we want to maintain a respectful, supportive community. Therefore, the following actions are prohibited:

• Posting hate speech or unlawful, harmful, defamatory or abusive content;
• Attempting to disrupt or compromise the security of the site;
• Impersonating another person or entity.

Our responsibilities: Moderation and termination

To ensure a welcoming and inclusive learning community, MeaningMakingProject.com site administrators reserve the right to remove content or suspend access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if these community guidelines are violated.

• If an account holder or administrator has a concern about a post, materials will be taken down from the public site and we will attempt to contact the account holder to discuss the concerns. If there is no response within 30 days, the material will be deleted.
• If the violations are egregious (e.g. hate speech), site administrators will delete the material immediately and the account holder’s access will be suspended.
